Create your first Yoto playlist and card
Go from an audio file on your computer to a playlist on your Yoto account, then link it to a physical Make Your Own card with the official Yoto app.
Install the app
The download is free. Macs require macOS 14 or later; the Windows installer is for a 64-bit system.
Download the latest version for your computer: Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 and later), Mac with an Intel processor or Windows. Every version is also on GitHub Releases.
On macOS, open the installation disk and drag YotoMediaManager into Applications. On Windows, run the installer and follow its steps. Then open the app from Applications or the Start menu.

You can import and prepare audio without a Yoto account. Creating and editing playlists requires a connected account.
Listen on your player
In Players, refresh your devices, select your player, and start the playlist. The account and sync guide explains upload states and possible conflicts.
Link the playlist to a Make Your Own card
A playlist saved on your account is not yet linked to a physical card. Complete this step in the official Yoto app on your phone:
- Sign in to the Yoto app with the same account you use in YotoMediaManager.
- Find your playlist in the library’s Make Your Own section and open it.
- Open its
⋯menu and choose the option to link it to a card. - Insert a Make Your Own card into your Yoto player and confirm the link in the app.
- Wait for confirmation on the player, then remove and reinsert the card to play the playlist.
Labels may vary with your Yoto app language and version. See the official Yoto guide for this step. YotoMediaManager prepares the playlist; it does not perform this physical card linking.
